Eating A Handful of Nuts Every Day Can Slash Your Risk of Having A Heart Attack And Your Death!

Research from the Imperial College London and the Norwegian University of Science & Technology in Norway found after analyzing a range of 29 different studies from around the world including Europe, Asia and Australia that eating a handful of nuts every day can reduce the risk of various kinds of illnesses like heart attacks, strokes and cancer due to the intake of the rich fiber content and the low saturated fats and high levels of antioxidants they provide us which makes the one of the healthiest and most nutritious snacks we can eat.

Their analysis included 819,448 participants that included 12,300 cases of Coronary Heart Disease, and more than 9,200 cases of Strokes, and more than 18,600 cases of Coronary Vascular Disease and around 18,400 cases of Cancer that found eating a handful of nuts every day was enough to reduce the risk of Coronary Heart Disease by almost 30 %, and the risk of Coronary Vascular Disease by 21%, and the risk of Cancers by 15%.

Their research included all kinds of Tree Nuts including Hazelnuts, Walnuts, Cashews, Macadamia Nuts, Pine Nuts and Peanuts which are actually legumes.

In addition it revealed that eating a handful of nuts every day was shown to decrease the risk of Diabetes by almost 40% and the risk of Infectious Diseases by 75%.

It also revealed that eating a handful of nuts every day, reduced the risk of Respiratory Disease by up to 52%.

Both Peanuts and Tree Nuts seemed to reduce the risk of Coronary Heart Disease, Coronary Vascular Disease and Mortality, but only Peanuts reduced the risk of Strokes and only Tree Nuts were linked to a decreased risk of Cancer.

In summary, they found a consistent reduction in risk of many different diseases which is a strong indication that there is a real underlying relationship between the consumption of nuts and the different health outcomes which is a substantial effect for such a small amount of food which may explain how the nutritional value of nuts must be the responsible for all of the different positive health outcomes they found as a results of their worldwide studies.
